It’s 14 years since I founded the National Young Leaders Days in New Zealand. It has been an absolute privilege for me to see it grow with thousands of young people recognising their leadership potential each year.
Of course, one of the challenging aspects of leadership is acknowledging when it’s time to pass the baton on to someone new. Part of my NYLD journey has included being events manager at The Parenting Place for the past four years.
I have decided now is the right time to for me to move on and leave this role – and NYLD – in the hands of a new generation of leaders. My last day with the organisation is Friday 26 September, after that I am moving on to an exciting new role. Leadership and influence are two of my great passions and I look forward to continuing to work in this area.
